John and wife Aimee own and operate Quiet Creek Farm CSA in Berks County. For the past 11 seasons, the Goods have farmed on land leased from the Rodale Institute. Currently, they have 10 acres of certified organic vegetables under production that serves a 265 member community supported agriculture (CSA) operation. Prior to their time at Rodale, John and Aimee were lead farmers at the Charlestown Cooperative Farm in Chester County for four years and apprentices at The Food Bank Farm in Western Massachusetts beginning in 2000. They recently purchased their first farm in Germansville, PA, where they plan to continue growing organic produce as ‘The Good Farm’.

After attending their first PASA conference in 2001, the Goods decided they would work towards returning home to Pennsylvania in order to start their farm and family as part of this vibrant, sustainable farming community. The Goods have hosted several field days at their farm with PASA, Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training, and Penn State Extension. John and Aimee enjoyed representing PASA at Farm Aid 2006, and have been past members of the PASA Southeast Regional Advisory Committee. John also serves on the advisory board of Penn State Extension’s annual Organic Vegetable Growers Intensive conference in Easton, PA.
