Now, a bit about us...
We are fortunate in the SE region to have within our geography the perfect ingredients for a healthy foodshed:
1. Superior agricultural lands and a continuing commitment to land preservation
2. Temperate climate and adequate rainfall
3. A long history and deep knowledge of agricultural practices embraced by old and new generations of farmers
4. Access to population dense markets for locally grown foods
5. A rapidly expanding community of eaters, chefs, educators, policy makers, health workers, and business people who understand and support the transformative potential of local food
If you’re not already involved, we invite you to add your time, talents and energy to PASA’s many efforts in this region. We currently number over 1500 southeastern PA members including farmers, families, students, nonprofit organizations and businesses.
