APPRENTICESHIPS - Spoutwood Farm Center, Inc., a community-supported agriculture and educational farm in Glen Rock, PA (southern York County), still has one and possibly two apprenticeships openings available for the remainder of the 2008 season (current thru November). Apprentices are typically college grads or equivalent, who desire a full-immersion experience in sustainable agriculture/natural farming. WANTED – Farm Manager & Intern - I am looking for a mature person or couple experienced in natural farming, who is interested in sharing farm operations and profits on a small organic orchard and berry farm in the mountains of North Carolina. Work involves permaculture bed preparation, weeding, sheet composting, pest management through inter-cropping, and farmscaping, harvesting, marketing, cider making, pruning, mowing, foliar feeding , cutting firewood and building small "green" shelters.
