PRODUCERS WANTED - Farmers to participate in the 2nd season of the Boyertown Farmers Market, located in Berks County. The season will run from June till November and all farmers must be the original grower or creator of the product they are selling. We are looking for a diverse and balanced mix of farmers for the 2008 season with representation from each of the following categories: Fruit/Vegetables, Poultry/Fish, Beef or other Red Meat, Dairy/Cheese and Baked Goods. The market is overseen by a sub-committee of the Boyertown’s Main Street Program (Building a Better Boyertown), with a dedicated Farmers Market Manager and funding in the amount of $15,000 for infrastructure and marketing. There is also a fully operational website, with over 11,000 “hits” a month, highlighting the market, vendors and entertainment. There will be no space rental fees for the 2008 season; however, we do require a firm commitment from vendors for the season.
