FarmArts Programming

Once again, we will be celebrating
sustainable agriculture with movies,
music, photography,and more!

The Performing Artists for Sustainable Agriculture series will provide a variety of melodious tunes for our listening enjoyment throughout the conference. The Performing Artists booth will also return, featuring artists’ promotional literature and recordings.
If you would like to participate in the FarmArts program, drop us a note!
For performing artists, contact Louise Smith by emailing her at
music@pasafarming.org, or calling (484) 645-3102.

We will also feature a photography contest that will be creatively broadcast throughout the conference. The images will explore how we look at farms, farm products, and farmers through photography. Photographers will receive personal credit for their work.
For interested photographers, please contact Donald Gibbon
at
photos@pasafarming.org or (412) 362-8451.
If you do not receive confirmation within a week, please resend your information and contact Donald by phone. Any interested parties who have NOT received confirmation after October 1st must resubmit their information to Donald.

The feature film, which will be shown Friday night, is King Corn (2007) — a 90 minute documentary about two friends, one acre of corn, and the subsidized crop that drives our fast-food nation. Follow the corn production process from the soil to your plate. You might be surprised by where you end up along the way! For more information, visit our Feature Film section.

And back by popular demand will be the memorable quotes from famous farmers and poets decorating the conference walls.
